The Stage Select screen is a carbon copy of Sonic 1 JPN.

The Zone layout is as follows:

Green Hill Zone => Green Hill Zone (Sonic 1)
Marble Zone => Chemical Plant Zone
Spring Yard Zone => Hidden Palace Zone
Labrynth Zone => ? (Placeholder most likely)
Star Light Zone => Emerald Hill Zone
Scrap Brain Zone => Hill Top Zone
Final Zone => Hill Top Zone (Partially)
Special Stage => Crash
